Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman holds a Outstanding Chair in Psychology in the University of California Davis and is the director of the Center for Public Policy Research. She was credited with launching contemporary research on children's memory of eyewitnesses and the application of child witnesses when in court. Professor Goodman is an prolific writer she has won many prizes and grants. She has collaborated with various government agencies and governments across the globe regarding policies as well as research on child victims in the legal system. She serves as an expert consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has been a member of a variety of professional organizations, including that of Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions of Experimental Psychology, Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Praxis and Policy American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) She is also a founder part of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development, as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has served as head of three divisions (Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division, American Psychological Law Society, and Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
